The Plant & Animal Genome Conference / PAG 33 is designed to provide a forum on recent developments and future plans for plant & animal genome projects. Consisting of technical presentations, poster sessions, exhibits and workshops, the conference is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and applications on this internationally important project.

There will be approximately 200 Workshops, 2,500 Abstracts, 1,200 Posters & 130+ Exhibiting Companies ... as well as social and networking opportunities. All in a relaxed and informal setting.

This is the premier conference for researchers and professionals involved in genetic improvement of livestock. Delegates from around the world gather every four years to attend the scientific program and to network with colleagues. This builds on previous successful congresses in Madrid (Spain, 1974 and 1982), Lincoln (USA, 1986), Edinburgh (UK, 1990), Guelph (Canada, 1994), Armidale (Australia, 1998), Montpellier (France, 2002), Belo Horizonte (Brazil, 2006), Leipzig (Germany, 2010), Vancouver (Canada, 2014), Auckland (New Zealand, 2018), and Rotterdam (The Netherlands, 2022).

The 2026 WCGALP will be co-costed by Iowa State University, University of California-Davis and University of Wisconsin- Madison.
